The fifth game in our 29, Let's Go! campaign saw the yanks of 175th Infantry Regiment attempt to clear the high ground to the North of the Isigny road at Cardonvile where a battery of 88mm guns were located. The US player needs to clear the table in order to move on to neutralise this threat so that the main advance can continue. The Germans were under immense pressure to put a spoke in the American wheel as if Cardonville falls there is just Osmanville left to defend before the key Aure bridge at Isigny. All desperate stuff with the stakes high for both sides. Here's the table:
