Help;

I have purchased some Spahis, and I am a little confused about their burnoose color. Some of my pictures show it as red lined white, others as white (The modern French 1er Regiment de Spahis, wear white). Can anyone tell me which is correct

This plate suggests red lined white but another from the same collection shows as white – I have seen a drawing from 1900 with a white burnoose

Frederick,

Thank you. I will go with white (it looks better)

Could be different between officers and enlisted men.
