From what I understand most of the Westphalian troops were withdrawn from Spain,in 1811, leaving a single battalion, and recuperating troops from all three reg'ts. Would anyone know which bn. was left in Spain, and what they were wearing? A mix of uniforms from all three reg'ts? Thanks.

I am not sure at all but I thought that single btn . was formed from the different regiments. Judging by reports from other contingents their "uniform" would be very ragged and makeshift as few supplies from Germany arrived that far so troops had to make to with local stuff. I think we would hardly recognize any of the real German units after a few years service in Spain.
