I ran my Siege of Monopolis scenario for Ogre at Millenniumcon this past weekend. Monopolis, of course, is my city assembled from various Monopoly buildings. I used the regular boardgame rules on a large hex mat with Ogre minis, and it came out looking pretty good:
You can read more about it and see more pics on Super Galactic Dreadnought: part 1: link part 2: link |

Wow, very interesting. Your creativity must have presented the participants with a visual feast and a challenging game. Thank you for sharing. You have a very extensive list of blogs, many I am unfamiliar with and will visit. |

Inspired work! Any chance you could list which buildings come from which Monopoloy sets? I had no idea they were that storied and various: I think I recognize the vaguely Japanese pagoda-style from the 'Pokemon' version, but that's it. The tall Towers in particular have my attention, as do the walled fortresses… |

I saw your set-up. It was great. Are you going to be at the Table/Roll2Play event in April? Steve Jackson was there last year and the grand prize was an unopened Ogre box set. I think it weighed 25 pounds. One of the players at my table won it. |

It really looked great at the show! I wish I had time to play! |

I've been very impressed with all your hard work in bringing this project to the table. |

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! VV, the pagoda-style houses, along with several other types of single-family dwellings and the shorter skyscrapers, came from the Monopoly Here & Now World Edition: link The medium-height and taller skyscrapers are from the Monopoly City edition: link The walled fortresses are actually prison tokens from that same Monopoly City set, which also gave me factories and the stadium: link I also used traditional Monopoly buildings, and even a castle and cottages from the Disney edition: link davbenbak, I probably won't make the TABLE event, since Coppell is a little far and this is the first I've heard of that convention. Thanks again! |

Nice! Where did you get the mat, and how big are the hexes? |
DesertScrb | 11 Nov 2014 9:40 p.m. PST |
The mat is from Corsec and the hexes are four inches across. |

There is another Table/Roll2Play event in April at the same hotel as last year just north of the DFW airport. Not sure which municipality it falls under. I would check their site for details. They might have separate sites, Table haveing one and Roll2Play having another. |
