Looks like another, new, 15mm spaceship has arrived, for your tabletop gaming pleasure. I saw this one at Walmart, for $25 USD:
Haven't seen it outside the box, but given its size, it looks like it would work nicely for 15mm scale. There's also a Raccoon spaceship too, as shown on the package, but Walmart doesn't have any of those yet:
So, does anyone want to admit to having one of these yet, and would care to give their opinion on its suitability for 15mm gaming? Or, if not, have you bought one for your child, but are secretly coveting it for yourself? |

Oh, and here's the Nova Corps Starblaster:
I think I like this one best of all, at least in the air, or in space. Not sure what it would look like sitting/resting on the ground, or on a landing pad, since I can't tell if the wings fold up, sufficiently, or not, to permit that, from the pics:
Thoughts, especially since I haven't seen the movie? |

link The embedded video indicates that the included figures are 2 1/2 inches. It looks like they fit in the seats inside. I know none of it is to scale, but the figures would be around 64mm maybe. I have not seen the movie and I haven't looked up the ship sizes in said movie either. So not really sure of the size of any of these. I will have to go to Walmart and look at them. Thanks for bringing these to my attention. |

I think the box was around 14" long x 10" high, or so. Yes, I know a figure fits in the seat, but for a 15mm scale cockpit, you could say it holds 2 – 4 people. Appears there is some detailing inside, so not sure if you could just leave that as is, or remove it, and replace it with a scratchbuilt one. The clear canopy is nice, especially if you want to add your own crew figures inside of it, and appears to me that it will work nicely with 15mm figs. Of course, you could use 1 – 2 x 25mm/28mm figures instead, inside, if you prefer it for a different scale spacecraft. |

Took a look at one out of the box. Bit smaller than I was hoping, it easily works with 15mm, but it's a funny size as it's not as useful as a lander, and a bit too large for a shuttle. I'm waiting for them to hit the bargain bin. |

Got these and they are beautiful models. I've even painted them up already, although now it m thinking maybe Groot was too light. |
