I've done some research on uniforms, and there seems to be some variance with trouser colours. Were they a shade of light blue/grey for all troops, or for just the officers?

Cheers,

The dark blue woollen trousers seem to have been officers only – khaki for other ranks. Green peaked caps were standard for all ranks, although some variation in the field, eg. this fairly well known shot:

Mine have Blue caps as #12 on your link. Not repainting them anyway…

The blue and red caps were interior troops, border troops had green, so just depends which units you're doing.

Thanks chaps. I can now paint my NKVD troops for the Vyazma or Bust scenarios.
