Hey all,

If you are looking for some "very affordable" 1:1800 scale "minis" (or the most amazing "counters") check out this:

Even if you don't need/want any WWII Atlantic ships, the kickstarter seems to indicate that you could pick up anything from their current inventory, which includes WWII Pacific and a smattering of WWI Germany/UK.

I have some of the WWI "mini/counters" and they look really great. Very portable too!

I can see this as being a way to get some of the Japanese carriers not available as Axis & Allies ships for my aircraft gaming – because I am an obsessive completist about some things. I'll have to take a look at the lists.

Be careful there – you might pick up a couple and then decide you need to get the complete matching set the topside minis!

I got one of the Samples and it was very nice and high quality. I am seriously thinking of investing in it.

Didn't see what I was looking for in the Japanese carriers, but they do have the full range of British ones…

The name "minis" is a bit deceptive as they really are counters. But they are very nice and very durable as they are printed on vinyl, not paper, so are waterproof. They come with Litko plywood bases to make them thicker.

Just way too big for me – ranges will look absurdly short so I'll stick with my 1/6000.

I love the minis and own quite a collection. I might jump in, but I'm more a Pacific guy.

Mister Tibbles if you look at the Kickstarter Description the way it works is basically for every $3 USD you put down you get $4 USD in credit to use at the site on ANYTHING.

Here's a link to the IJN carriers that are currently available:

I believe the UK carriers are part of this kickstarter and not available until March.
