Assembly line painting is fantastic for churning out quantities of figures. It takes a looonnnggg time to finish a group, but when you do finish said group, it is usually a LARGE quantity of figures… And that gives a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. I sometimes break down my larger groups into smaller groups, just to emerge from the tunnel sooner, before I dive back into the next tunnel group of figures to paint. My average painting time, per figure, doing them assembly line style, keeps it to 5-10 minutes of actual brush-time, on each individual figure. They may look alike, but they're painted! I can live with that trade-off. Cheers, and happy painting and gaming! |
