The Skyraider here TMP link needed a FAC. The Testor's 1/48th scale kit fit the bill. I used some aftermarket decals (Fireball Model Works link ), along with the kit's decals. The model represents an aircraft of the VAL-4 Black Ponies.

The kit was okay. I had to scratch build the rear seat and cockpit area as the kit does not include anything in the cockpit behind the pilot's seat. The left, right, and top canopy panels needed filing and sanding so that they would fit together properly. I made gun barrels, from wire, to replace the kit's plastic ones. I also added a couple of pieces of sheet plastic to the interior of the rear fuselage floor to reinforce any mounting points.

It's an okay kit. I do not recommend it as a first-kit as there are some fit problems.

Thanks for looking, Kevin

Kevin did this baby for me. This one is so sweet it could have flown to my house under its own power. Very nice job on the Huey Hogs, the Spad, and the Bronco. Highly recommended!

BZ!
