Went to MillenniumCon 17 in Round Rock Texas. Had a great time. Friday afternoon I had my Italian Battleship Littorio pummeled into floating junk. All turrets knocked out, boilers down. All that crew had left was pasta & vino. Lesson learned was 16 inch guns from American battleships rule. Jeff runs a great game every year. I sign up for it every year, and get sunk or wrecked every year. See you next year.

Friday night got to participate in a demo of Hell Hath No Fury. Great demo. ED who ran the demo did a great job explaining concepts & gave us a copy of the rules. We will be playing that one some more. Interesting game.

Saturday morning, Plancenoit 1815. I was on the French side & we were rolled up like an old musty blanket. My dice rolling destroyed the entire French left. Rules were Honor & Courage which I very much enjoyed. Game actually moved, flowed, didn't get bogged down. All the 15mm minis were incredible, looked awesome. GM's were fun & knew what they were doing, all the players were interested, learned the rules & the game kept moving. Best Napoleonic game I've ever played at a con. I'll be exploring these rules a lot more. And yes Tom I rolled dice like a little girl as your beloved French were crushed. Thanks for sending me a copy of the rules.

Saturday afternoon RF&F Gettysburg, Little Round Top. My favorite set of rules. Awesome table & minis. Great game. Was on the Rebel side & with my dice luck you can guess who won. I did manage to get John B. Hood killed & Texas Brigade ground into dust. About par for the course. Great game, all the players were great. We got a lot of turns done. GM really did a good job on that scenario & running the game.

Did pick up a few new toys. Some 28mm ACW Rebs for my collection. Some 28mm WW2 Germans ( nicely painted to boot).

So all & all a great time even if I went 0-3 ( not counting the demo game). Thanks to the Con organizers for putting this on. I'll be back next year. Now I need to go cut my hands off, these things should never touch any dice ever again.

Glad you had a good time! I always love running games for it every year.

Although I only played one game on Saturday afternoon, I had a great time too.

Yes, great Con! This was my fifth year and I'll be back. Always a game of interest in each time slot so well worth the weekend price.

Did they have a painting contest?

I didn't see or hear of a painting contest? Maybe I missed it?
