Just saw a trailer on an NFL pregame show.

It has cavalry lancers. No comment.

Remember the LCMs (Landing Craft, Medieval) from Robin Hood? It's the same principle at work.

I hope they get the tanks right, or there will be hell to pay on these pages.

I expect the same high standard of historical and Biblical accuracy set by Noah.

Oh, that CGI. How many explosions?

True, I don't know what target market they were going for with that movie.

"True, I don't know what target market they were going for with that movie."

I think it was targeting "Gnostics on a Date"

It has cavalry lancers

As we say in reenacting: "If they had them, they would have used them."

I kind of like the idea of Moses as a kick-Bleeped text action hero. With all due respect to the Good Book, Moses comes across as a bit boring. Would it have hurt anything to add some sword fights and arson to the story?

vtsaogames10 Nov 2014 1:30 p.m. PST

And explosions.

It is a fantasy story so why not a fantasy movie.

Historically the Israelis were never slaves, just settled tribes of mercenaries to prevent invasion through the Sinai, this was common throughout the Middle East at the time of using foreign tribes as mercenaries. They got too big for comfort and the Egyptians started making life rough to get them to move out of the neighborhood. Like any group of well armed people they decided they would leave with a few mementos of their stay, nothing major just some silver, gold and a few animals that their neighbors donated at the point of a sword.

"Historically the Israelis were never slaves,"

Well, that's an…interesting, take on history.
