Am considering getting a few to add variety my BF and PP (and PSC EW Germans on order), especially the support weapons. Has anyone tried these, they look very good on the website?

I have at least one set of each Essex German WWII Infantry packs. The best ones are the MG-34/42 Tripod mounted sets. All of the Essex figures have ugly "ape" faces and over-sized helmets however, so head swaps are in order. Besides the MG teams and the tank commanders, I don't really care for most of the other figures, however, that's just my opinion.

It's odd, the British never seemed to have "ape" faces, and the heads aren't as unreasonably large as the Germans. I wonder if different sculptors did them, or if the Germans came first and the later figures profited by the experience gained.

Don't know, but I replaced the heads on mine.
