All I have is the Wings of War original set and 5 planes. One is a DH4 with B guns. I don't have B guns, but just cut the damage in half. I want to get early war planes that are mostly B guns. Should I splurge? |

Yes, its a fun Game, and B deck isn't quite the same as halfing the A damage deck, Check out the Wing of Glory Forum for more info on this. |

The extra planes don't come with that? |

The planes come with their own maneuver cards, not damage decks. The damage decks come with the core rules. So if one has the original set, one should have a B damage deck already (along with an A, C, and D as well). As VB noted, the B damage deck is not built anything like to be half the A damage deck, so I would highly suggest getting the Wings of Glory rules as it appears you do not have a B damage deck. |

The Rules and Accessory Pack is a must by if you want to get into the game seriously as it contains the full rulebook for the game as well as a lot of game aids and all four damage decks. If you want to get into WWII then that version of the R&A Pack is essential unless you managed to get the original out of print boxed set or can get hold of the old Nexus products. |

Thanks for the info. Do the original WoW rules sets contain the B damage deck? |

Not the one I have (WOW Famous Aces). I'm ordering the R&A now by the way. Thanks all! |

I believe the original core rules had all the damage decks, but I could be mistaken. |

Of the original card only Nexus produced box sets Famous Aces had the `A` Deck. Watch Your Back had the `B` Burning Drachens had the `A`,`C` and `D` Flight of the Giants had the `B` The De Luxe set with the mini`s had a double size `A` and normal `B`,`C` and `D` decks. There were a few differences compared with the later Ares decks mainly in the number of cards in some decks and in the symbols on the cards. |

I would -1 the A deck but a 1 would still be a 1. |

There are three simple rules that apply to wings of Glory/Wings of War: Splurge. Indulge. Enjoy! I personally focused on the French Aviation Militaire as most seem to fixate on the RFC and Germans, but that's just me.

And the rules and accessories pack can be had cheaply as an add-on to the Giants kickstarter. Or pick up the Rookie bundle, with r&A plus the 4 most famous fighters and the lowest price ever offered. link
