I haven't seen anyone mentioned anything about the new Lone Wolf Boardgame/Table top game (sorry, no cubs here). link Pictures and rules by Gary Chalk. No miniatures right now, but I think I will use Fireforge's knights for Sommerlund and Crooked Claw's goblins for Giaks. Beta versions of the rules and one scenario are available for download. Is it any good? I have no idea I as a long time table top player and Lone Wolf fan I will give it a try. I would have loved to see Tre Manor sculpting for this project; I think he would be perfect for it. |

Looking at the artwork, I think it was actually something that was supposed to have been produced by Greywood Publishing? link But the way of the Kai is mysterious… |

Yes, it is that game. I do think that Greywood is still involved somehow, or at least one of the guys (Jamie Wallis) from Greywood. (but I don't know anything about Greywood) |

I'd love to see someone reproduce those "figure" illustrations in the style of double-sided, "toy soldier tin flats" miniatures! |

I would jump on miniatures in this style. |

Hello, this is the person who set up this Kickstarter. Thank you very much for posting about us! Yes, we are working directly with Greywood Publishing. We're running the campaign, I'm editing the rulebook, and there's all sorts of other development back-and-forth, while they're going to publish the final game. We hope people enjoy the project, and particularly we want to keep Gary's 2-D artwork front and center. Miniatures are always an idea for development, but if 3-D were the end goal then your 2-D work would just be quick drafts: you wouldn't pour in all this time, money, and love. Gary's art is much of what defined Lone Wolf all those years ago, and we're so glad to see an entire new game of it! |

Our project is approaching the halfway mark in the campaign, and, thanks to backers and supporters like you, the halfway mark in funding! If you haven't looked yet, here's something new that might be of interest: Do you know the Redwall series? How about the board game Talisman? The creator Gary Chalk is releasing his first-ever artbook as an add-on reward, compiling 120+ pages of work from Redwall, Lone Wolf (of course), Talisman, the other classic worlds he's illustrated. It's the first compilation that fans of these worlds have ever seen. This is available with or without the connected Lone Wolf board game so people can choose what they want: it's one of many things on offer to boost funding and we're glad to provide it separately. We're still running until December 5. Please take a look! Any support will help Gary continue to bring new creative projects to life! |

Hello, all. Lone Wolf – The Board Game is into its final week with over 2/3 of its funding goal. Now is the time we most need your help to bring this game to life! If you don't know what's so interesting about one fantasy world out of many, I wrote an essay that's turned out popular: link It's more than just a board game on offer. We posted about Gary Chalk's artbook before (covering classics like the Redwall series), and we're also offering Autumn Snow, a new official gamebook spin-off of the original Lone Wolf gamebooks. Since the 1980's, gamers wondered about female "Kai Lords," and the question remained mostly unanswered since Lone Wolf was the last to survive: now Autumn Snow will burst onto the scene! Oh, and she'll do it in the board game, too. Gary Chalk has been at work constantly on new art, and his most recent is essentially a "cosmetic skin" on the default Kai Lord game piece for backers who pledge $55 USD or more. Gamers who want their own "main character" now have the option to represent any Kai of their choice on the game board. But the opportunity will be gone after December 5, so please take a look, share your thoughts, share the project, and pledge if you can. Thank you yet again! |

Wow…as a huge fan of Gary's art style I think the game looks gorgeous. I just wish I weren't strapped for cash right now :( |

Hey, that's quite alright. Knowing that people are interested at all is gratifying! I have to post a quick retraction here: the project will not include any board game content based on Autumn Snow, but will include her gamebook as stated. Sorry for any confusion! Thanks for reading! |

. . . And DONE! We've finished the campaign for Lone Wolf – The Board Game with full funding and one unlocked stretch goal, all thanks to folks like you. Thank you very much for your ear, support, and/or patience as we spread the word about this campaign. Now we begin the work that your money makes possible. If you're coming across this thread for the first time, you may find more information on the official page: lonewolftheboardgame.com A proper website will be set up there once the game goes on general sale, which we hope to be no later than November 2015. Thanks for an exciting and successful month. Onward! |
