All, So I had an hour on my hands and decided I wanted to try something out, and that something was using Ivan's "No End in Sight " rules as skirmish rules (my definition: each figure is a man, and each man activates individually). This was just a 'one-off' game; I still don't have a campaign back-story, but after looking into the "Crisis in Alcovia" and the "6mm Prussian Republic" blogs (http://alcovia.blogspot.com/ and 6mm-prussia.blogspot.com/), I think I'm set on an Eastern European Imagination. I just wish I was as clever as those guys. I grabbed four of my 10mm Special Operations guys and seven Pendraken Falklands Range SF guys to serve as Eastern European paramilitaries.
Good Guys.
Bad Guys.
The board, North is right, with Good Guys on the left and Bad Guys on the right, 2' x 2'. GGs are starting on the left baseline, BGs are spread out on right side, with game objectives being for the GGs to exit the right baseline and the BGs to stop them.
Things look good out the gate: Spec Ops guys moves up (bottom left0 and pops the Bad Guy at top right. To see the rest, please visit the blog: link V/R, Jack |

Nice looking game. One of the other gentlemen ran a Vietnam spec ops team with each man as a self-activating unit versus teams of VC but I'm not sure if he made any other changes. As you say, focus is on squad based combat though :) |

Great game report. Glad you are back to gaming (as you likely are too). I am working up to playing some games. Also, I note the old "hills" are back. |

Ivan – Shelldrake played Vietnam, but it looked like he still used small unit activation, as opposed to individual activation. I plan to get in a unit game of NEIS tomorrow morning, one more playtest. I say one more playtest, but that means I need to come up with a campaign! My 'temperate' FFL are about finished, but I've only primed my 'desert' FFL. Shaun – I'm back, and leave my hills alone! When I'm playing on the 2' x 2' boards, I have to put the hills on top as the boards are particle board. When I play bigger tables I'll put the hills under and lay a mat over the top. V/R, Jack |

Nice AAR Jack, but after that I'm thinking as a solo experience I'm looking at imagi-nations to fight each other (going to have to delve into set up and motivations for the different nations/forces so I don't end up with a Red star ver White star mentality, I personally don't believe it works. But looks like you had a lot of fun/frustration. Cheers and happy gaming. |

I'd love to hear what you come up with, I might have to steal some concepts! I'm having a tough time myself… V/R, Jack |

Don't make me write a "random reason this war is going on" generator :) |
