It reminds me of a book someone told me about that dealt with traveling cities that moved around post apocalyptic Europe, gathering scraps for fuel, fighting each other. Even this model is too small for 2mm figures, but these could be scouters in 6mm that are on recon and fight each other. The main city would occupy the full length of a wargame table and could be just on the edge. |

Bobgnar, The book series that I think you refering to is Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve. It's a teen read, but an enjoyable one and the world that he has created is absolutely fantastic.
