I've got some Flames of War U.S. Airmobile and ANZAC troops. I'm following the Flames of War paint guide which has them in Russian uniform green. The uniforms look too dark overall to me. Someone feel free to tell me I'm wrong and that is the right color, or give me some colors I might use to highlight the uniforms. (15mm, so not a lot of highlighting, mind you) |

Use a sage green Our uniforms tended to wash out fairly quickly in the field |

Is that a Vallejo color? I've got mainly Vallejo and Reaper paints. |

Craft store paints – sage green base, medium grey wash, mushroom dry brush. I've used a color called pebblebrook for pouches and belts to make them stand out. |

Depending upon where you want to do the majority of your fights I'd try a light reddish brown dry brush. Our uniforms always had that tint. H |

For 20mm and 15mm US Nam figs with Vallejo I've used a 50/50 mix of Green Grey and USA Uniform. It looks like it'll be a limey green, but when you dry brush with Green Grey and do the web gear with Kahki, it looks right. You can even use a pinkish drybrush on the webgear. Boots are another fun bit: they should be black but never stayed that way, instead they turned white or light brown. Helmet covers: base Green Grey, then reflective green and German Camo Brown spots. Drybrush green grey, looks spot on for faded. |

Tamiya field gray. Web gear faded od. Dry brush reddish sand. For the image everyone has about lush jungle, It's amazing how much of Vietnam looks like central California. |
