I am just a bit curious to how I would do this. I was thinking using something like the weapon making chart. I would still like some advice on it. |

We actually had a brief section on this in the "To Be Continued…by GASLIGHT" supplement. Basically it recommends giving the character an additional attribute called "Spell". To cast magic the character must roll less than it's Spell number. It also gives a basic table of spells and their effect. For destructive spells, yes, the weapon table would work fine. Or you could just make up effects; such as, "The Spell makes one man sized object invisible for d6 turns," or something like that. |

I had a shaman controlling a pack of yetis with mind control. If he failed his "Sustain" roll, they acted randomly, with all the potential for disaster that implies. Naturally he had to make a "Start" roll to regain control. The existing game mechanics handle magic quite well. |

I have a figure from Pulp Mini's that looks like Vincent Price in a lab coat. I give him some spells to use. Our favorite is the Rosy Mist Of Reason. It covers a 15 inch area on the table. Any players who have a fig under the template are required to hold hands and sing Cumbaya. No combat is allowed with those minis on their next turn. Everybody gets a big kick outa this. |

Now to maintain the spell, the caster has to successfully roll his Sustain value every turn, correct? |
