What do folks use to make telephone poles in 15mm? Round toothpicks seem too short and my local craft store's smallest dowels are 1/8 " diameter which seems to large. I'm out of ideas and looking for suggestions. |

See if you can find mahl sticks at your local art store. |

Get HO telegraph poles from a railway shop or if you find them too big go with N gauge. They are definately too small, but somehow look fine! |

I am not a 15mm guy, but how about grilling skewers? Bigger than toothpicks but way smaller than 1/8" Cheap for a large pack---if they don't work chop up some of your favorite things and treat yourself to a k-bob. |

for my 15mm eastern front scenery I use N scale poles from the train shop. I think they come with three or four cross arms, and I remove two or three leaving one or two cross arms. That makes the poles seem a bit taller and works with the 15mm vehicles trundling by. Mike |

The skewers work great. I have a bunch on hand I've used for log bunkers but never thought of them. Thanks |

I bought the Battlefront ones. For more modern ones go with HO scale, I find it visually better if they're slightly to big for 15mm, rather than to small. |

Save the tips from skewers to make chevaux de frise. It will also make ham-handed players more careful. |
