My brother just told me he saw this last night (I missed it because of game 7 of the World Series). It will be re-broadcast at odd times during the next few days; I'll have to set the DVR.

I build plastic models and paint little metal men for a hobby. These guys build beautiful, exact replicas of WWI combat aircraft and fly them. I feel so inadequate.

Yep, I did as well.

It was superb, and yes, they did try shooting at other planes with pistols and rifles. Apparently, that tactic was not very effective.

A very impressive show. By building
exact replicas rather than using modern techniques they discovered the unique characteristics of each aircraft.
