3 questions. A. If you are required to recoil 2 base depths is it possible to recoil further than required if there are friendly units that you would land on top of, or must you displace them so they end up behind you? B. After winning a close combat you are forced to advance 2 base depths , is there an arc of movement like recoiling or can you "advance" any direction? and can this movement bring you into contact with an enemy unit and friendly unit at the same time if position allowed? C. It says houses/farms have no terrain effect. Does this mean you can move through them, they dont block line of sight? and could you end your movement ontop of them?? |

With C I'd say yes to all. Remember the ground scale! A stand is a brigade so could easily move around any small building or farm. Strictly aesthetic at this level of game! Besides, if in ground scale a large farm house would be what? 1/3" by 1/2" at most? |

A. If you are required to recoil 2 base depths is it possible to recoil further than required if there are friendly units that you would land on top of, or must you displace them so they end up behind you? Probably yes. B. After winning a close combat you are forced to advance 2 base depths , is there an arc of movement like recoiling or can you "advance" any direction? and can this movement bring you into contact with an enemy unit and friendly unit at the same time if position allowed? I'd say you must pursue that which you defeated. So if the defeated unit alters its path of retreat, your unit would follow the path. Not sure if you hold up in front of a new unit or you make contact. I only read through the rules. Have not played them yet. C. It says houses/farms have no terrain effect. Does this mean you can move through them, they dont block line of sight? and could you end your movement ontop of them?? Correct. |

What would happen if you are in base contact with 2 opponent bases and you win and 1 of their primary bases has to recoil and you have to advance, do you stay locked in with the other opponent base that was supporting or do you advance through them? |

I think the rules read that you can fall back through a friendly unit or displace it, your choice. Not sure about the others. |

I'll take a shot at it: A. They aren't real uptight about details. You can either: (a) move the retreating brigade a bit further than 2 base depths so as to get behind the stationary brigade or (b) displace the stationary brigade behind the retreating one after it has moved 2 base depths. B. You can enter into new close combats after advancing in post-close-combat. I believe the advancing brigade could be the primary brigade or support. C. Yes to all of them. Some minor features are for reference and have no effect. D. If in base to base contact with a supporting brigade after a close combat, fight a second close combat immediately between the advancing brigade and the support brigade. |
