"Like Bugs to the Porch Light " Topic

I just don't get it.

There are 6 more in the DH, for blatant offenses -- there's not one that could honestly say, "Oh, I didn't see how that would break the rules." Straight up Political Posturing, Personal Attacks, and Group Attacks, from posters who know better. And I'll bet not one of them will learn to just stop typing when they are angry. Just like bugs.

Maybe we need a new symbol to stick next to posters who get jugged for flying into the candle flame, a nice crispy beetle or something?

They said their piece. now they have to serve their time. I've done the same myself. Hopefully they will have vented their frustration before their return. Otherwise, it's all just part of life.

Why is this posted to Wargaming in General instead of one of the "talk" boards?

Because, generally speaking, war gamers like a good argument and a chance to win it. Lines get crossed and then the editors must settle their hash. All the boards are "talk" boards….

Originally I was going to go on about how come none of the angst was on a wargame, or figure, or painting thread, and why couldn't they … at that point I couldn't carry the thought without busting a few rules myself, so I stopped.

I probably should have crossposted to TMP Talk then deleted the thread here. My apologies for misplacing it.

If you will note, most of it came from the "Ultra-Modern" board. It's pretty much a "Ninja Warrior" style obstacle course for TMP. You must participate in the thread without getting dog-housed.

I've read a fair few of them and found that many comments are pretty borderline insulting to middle-easterners with the broad brush stereotyping. I turned the board off and am better off for it.

I'd personally like to see the "Ultra Modern" board get nuked. There would be far less 'house offenses. It really belongs in the fez.

I agree with the Joker.

It is an unfortunate title for a board that appears more like a present day international political/military forum rather than anything to with miniatures and war gaming.

I have deselected it too.
