Despite a long trawl, I can only find one previous thread on LoA/WSS gun colours, and it didn't mention these chaps.

Does anyone know what colour the gun carriages of the army of Piedmont-Savoy were during the last two decades of the 17th Century? Did they change when Savoy changed sides?

I am aware that the Savoy gunners were not uniformed until the mid-1690s, being regarded as civilian personnel; however, it seems unlikely that the guns would not be painted, if only for preservation from the weather.

Many thanks.

Also interested in the colour of Spanish gun carriages in the 1660-1700 period, as well.

Anyone?
