The first world war has very much been on my mind this year. Check out Brooklyn Wargaming for two recent posts on the French and Indian War. First, I spent a bunch of time re-tracing the Anglo-French period in American history this past year, visiting and revisiting places that evoke the struggle for empire on the North American continent. link
Next, I just played my first game of Wilderness War from GMT Games this past weekend. link

Any interest in trying out Muskets & Tomahawks, or Black Powder (Last Argument of Kings)? I am in Brooklyn a lot and just started getting into the period too! |

We have some avid players of the period at Metropolitan Wargamers in Park Slope. You should check out the club (link below) and register to the Yahoo group to see if we could cooridinate some time. nycwargames.com |

Cool. Any of you guys going to Fall-In? I'll be joining the Muskets & Tomahawks Tournament on Saturday night. Trying desperately to both read the book and paint my French before next weekend… |

I'll be there along with a few other guys one of which has his own home brewed skirmish rules for the FIW period in 28mm. |
