I want to do some WWII bombing raids. Where can I get a 1:44 heavy bombers from?

Minicraft makes some model kits. Have you checked ebay for 1/144 bombers (both models and die cast)?

Wondering why you want heavies in that scale when you
could run large raids using 1/300 or 1/285 and the
Blue Sky series of rules.

I've got 48 B-17's and 24 B-24's in 1/300 and run
bomber raids – well, mostly intercept raids using
Me-109's and Fw-190's versus the bombers. The models
make an impressive sight when deployed.

At that size, you don't actually move the bombers.
You move the fighters to reflect the bomber stream's
forward movement, then move the fighters from there.

Look on Ebay for F-toy Japan kits. I think their bomber line is called "Big Birds."

Although I have a half a dozen B-17s by them you might be interested in…

Peter,

You're not a member, so I can't PM you.

But I can be reached as "semonyenko" on the Gmail.

Lord I have been a member for around 10 years now and cant seem to get that fixed. I spent more time in the dawg house in earlier years than almost anyone. LOL! Lessons learned though. I did have to change out my name and such due to losing my old password. Peter

Because a squadron, or battlegroup of heavy bombers in 1/144th scale would look superb!

As mentioned, you local hobby shop for models, and/or eBay.

You may also wish to check out Hobby Link Japan at hlj.com or Squadron at Squadron.com for more models and info in 1/144 scale.
