Hi Lads…this project started out by seeing the awesome models that a certain Humungous has been making for the last 20 years…checkout his FB page for more pics:)

I wanted to capture the feel but give it a more modern twist…my Mad Max world will be set in the world of Dredd and the mega highways of the Cursed Earth….here's a few pics…will post up a few of the individual vehicles as time goes on….they are all 1/32nd scale diecast vehicles that are very cheap to find at carboot sales and markets….the truck cost me £2.99 GBP!…give them a bit of modelling work and then bob's yer uncle:)

Next year should see a bit of Mad max frenzy with the release of Fury Road at the cinemas..so look out at the shows for more Mad max fun:)…

Cool truck & vehicles. What's the scale, 20th?

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 5:05 a.m. PST

28mm miniatures and 1/32nd vehicles:)

cosmicbank26 Oct 2014 5:24 a.m. PST

Very nice Like the load off option on the truck, But I love the mini cooper

Coelacanth26 Oct 2014 5:38 a.m. PST

Yer a clever one Clarkie, good on yer mate.
I'm right impressed and God save us all :) ( well I'm sure the Royal Family would be bunkered down somewhere in Scotland in your bloody Mad Maxi World.
You've done a right bangup job, BTW what rule system are you planning to use?
Cheers and happy hunting on the A1.

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 6:29 a.m. PST

not sure who the bleedin hell is Zargon:),,,for the Miniature games I'll be using Judge Dredd from Warlord games…they cover every thing that you need to play:)..Law Enforcers, Mutants, Street punks, Zombies…practically everything you can think of:)…for the vehicle rules I'm at the moment playtesting a set for vehicles and their drivers:)

cheers Zargon:)…..the Goat:)

Mmm… I love the work you've put into these, but I disagree with placing them beside 28mm figures. They really are nowhere near each other, scale-wise. Even the most over-the-top 'heroic' 32mm figures are nowhere near 54mm high.

Still, it's your game and your universe. Maybe the cars grew – or the people shrunk – post apocalypse!

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 7:42 a.m. PST

I tried the smaller scale vehicles that should fit in with the 28mm mini's…possibly 1/43rd scale?…but they looked kind of small…I wanted the vehicles to look epic:)….

evilcartoonist26 Oct 2014 9:29 a.m. PST

Those are all ace!!!
I prefer 1/43 for 28s, but going "epic" still looks fantastic! To hell with scale, keep on keep on, because you have a great little collection there.

Lion in the Stars26 Oct 2014 9:58 a.m. PST

"boogie boarding" on a dirt surface must be all sorts of exciting… one rock and you're street pizza!

and 28mm minis with 1/32 cars makes the minis look like a bunch of kids.

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 10:35 a.m. PST

Wargamers are all big kids at heart so the scale suits me fine:)….epic scales the way to go:)…as I said it started out as a vehicle only project and then I thought why not use a few mini's as well….as long as the eye candy works then thats good for me:)

Goat

Here's Goats vehicle of Choice the mighty Wolverine the Goat likes big powerfull cars now he's got one:)

Awesome collection. Love the truck and the mini cooper.

YogiBearMinis Supporting Member of TMP26 Oct 2014 1:51 p.m. PST

I think they look great, better in scale than most I see that are purportedly in scale.

Stryderg26 Oct 2014 2:04 p.m. PST

The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla approves of this post.

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 2:06 p.m. PST

It's quite strange with motor cars….they are a lot smaller than we think:)…i did try the supposed smaller scale but when you see them on the table with miniatures something looks wrong?….it looks like epic scale is here to stay for me:)….nowt wrong with a bit of epic I suppose:)

Goat:)

D A THB26 Oct 2014 3:08 p.m. PST

I really like these despite the scale issue. I don't think I would have realised at first if you did not mention what scales the different parts were in.

clarkeshire26 Oct 2014 3:21 p.m. PST

As long as they look good to the eye scale is not important…in gaming we have 15mm's 18mm's 25mms 28mmm's and 32mm's….its the effect that they all produce thats important:)

Goat:)

jgibbons26 Oct 2014 5:49 p.m. PST

I actually have the same truck model…

Who does the cars?

clarkeshire27 Oct 2014 3:37 a.m. PST

If you've got the same Truck well done…I now wish I had bought 2 I got mine from a cheap seaside market stall for £2.99 GBP….the vehicles are from loads of different manufacturers and cost me very little…carboot sales are a gold mine for this sort of thing as well:)….here's a few more close up pics:)

EricThe Shed27 Oct 2014 3:45 a.m. PST

These look great…I did something similar to you a few years ago but yours are so much nicer
