I'm not a huge opera fan but I'd go to see this:

Nick Cave has been involved in some very interesting projects.

Is it in bad taste? Anyone?? I'm sensitive to the sacrifice our soldiers fought and died in such large and horrifying numbers! First ir was Warhorse now Shellshock am I being overly sensitive or is it good to tell and make people realize/remember such sacrifice from all our forefathers.
Cheers 'We Will Remember'

I'll keep to Die Fledermaus, Abduction, Nabucco, Aida, La Larza Garda, and Chenerentola thank you.

Dear Zargon- The worst of taste.

If people want to be sensitized to it, let them walk the fields and take the tours. Nothing was as wrenching to me as when I went tot he Somme and to Verdun.

I once went to Gettysburg. We got a tour guide who rode with you in the car. Best way to do it. I knew the battle by heart but it was good to have a guide explain it.
Anyway, there was a tour bus just ahead of us filled with high school kids, and it was always about 10 yards away at the next stop. To them this was a corny hoot, a way to get out of class for a day and goof around and crack wise. It started out that way, with the girls gathering in their gaggles and the boys acting up and trying to be sooo cynical and sooo cool.

As the tour went on they became les and less so. At the part where they were hearing about Chamberlains stand behind little round top they were quiet and subdued. When they got to "the little clump of trees" and stood where Armstead died they were silent and subdued- except those who were crying.
