I recently bought a couple of ASLAVs for use in our 15mm games of Skirmish Sangin and I wondered if someone could tell me which were the closest Vallejo colours to use for the Australian Sand/Green/Dark Brown camouflage pattern. |

Andoreth, No idea about the Vallejo matching but 1. Dark Brown should be flat black (never seen one in Brown) 2. Green should be more an Olive drab 3. Sand … has a lot of variations A lot of variation as paint fades or maybe they change the colours. Have a great day, Foxtrot |

Andoreth – where did you get a 15mm ASLAV? |

From memory I used Tan Earth for sandy component, black for black and a basic green (Reflective Green?!?). Here's my Bushmaster (no pics of finished ASLAVs as yet). These are 20mm. My ASLAVs got same treatment.

G'day, Andoreth. For 15mm you may want to lighten the colours, but the following are the common colours used for 1/35 scale models. For the Olive Drab Lustreless (the green) you'll need to mix 1 part Vallejo Model Colour 889 to 3 of Vallejo Model Colour 895, as it's not a standard US colour. If you don't want to mix, look for a lighter, greyer colour than the 895. The brown is Tan FS30219- Vallejo Model Colour 874. The black is FS37038- Vallejo Model Colour 950 Hope this helps. Dal. |
