This site only came to my attention because it has been hacked and someone has changed population projection figures (if they were there at all in the first place.) Don't blame me for that.

But OTHERWISE it looks interesting and useful.

It carries a list of military equipment and civilian planes by country. (together with economic stats). There is military news list for each country (weapon acquisition and new deals to work on weapons.) You can click on a plane/tank/etc type and go to information about that item.

It is hard to tell if the inventory numbers for types are OK because they are listed differently on the wiki page e.g. wiki brings many type together whereas deagel.com lists the F-16 blocks separately. I don't know when they count acquisitions, orders, refurbishment.

Here is their listing for Turkey

Probably got hacked by people from smeagol .com

I typed "deagel" into Google on my phone and the search results were Above Top Secret (Jared Lee Loughner's favorite website), the Ron Paul forums, Stormfront, and Dave Hodges (friend of Alex Jones and other conspiracy theorists), all asking about who uses that website. I'd say one of them hacked it.

It is a pity because apart from the silly population stats that site looks useful. Lots of thing I like to find (like aircraft inventory by nation) all in one place.

I wonder if the owner went on vacation and hasn't noticed yet. Or it could just be self publicity – that worked BIG TIME.

But does he really want the dregs of the internet paying attention to his website?

Good point.

I play too much Counterstrike. I see "deagle" and I think "Desert Eagle".
