…And 32 Civilians In Syria In The First Month Of Bombing. "Air strikes by U.S.-led forces have killed 521 Islamist fighters and 32 civilians during a month-long campaign in Syria, a monitoring group which tracks the violence said on Thursday. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the vast majority of the deaths, 464, were militants from Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot which has grabbed large areas of Syria and neighboring Iraq. The attacks also killed 57 members of the al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front, the Observatory said. Six of the civilians were children and five were women, it added…" Full article here link Amicalement Armand |

Yeah, and they always had massive body counts in the Vietnam war also, even though there would only be a couple of bodies at times. I don't put a lot of faith in published body counts. Especially during an election time… |

Pretty small return for the dollars spent. If we just dropped the money there would probably be more than that killed fighting over it. |

I have no faith in body counts either. They are meaningless. After all the Germans killed millions of Russians and still lost the war. |

Whose boots on the ground counted the bodies? Body counts are meaningless until there are not bodies left to count for they are all dead. I do not care how many are killed, just kill them all. |

I agree on the casualty figs, CC, but suspect AQ/ISIS/other radical islamists are winning the economic war with us, sadly. |

Can't imagine they have anything near accurate numbers. How are they counting them? |
jpattern2 | 24 Oct 2014 6:32 p.m. PST |
Same way they did in Nam, I suspect. Which is to say, not very accurately at all. |

The thing here is that 521 not a high body count and just how much did it cost to kill just one. Our air strikes are a joke and are only annoying aspect that ISIS has to deal with. |
