Another background piece today.
This one is a much shorter quick overview the "Maersk-Tesla" corporation, their history, aims and forces.

The Maersk-Tesla Corporation is a faction that serves a "Weyland-Yutani" type of role in our universe. It's a very useful sort of faction to have around that can be either the good or bad guy in a given situation and can be part-of or just background-in many scenarios.

I actually did a little bit of research (mostly wikipedia) on this one, both of Danish history and geography and some modern shipping firms. The Galactic Frontier is young enough (current year 2455) that we can draw on modern history if it serves our needs.

For minis, I've not painted up with anything for their para-military "Asset Protection" units, but I have used Necromunda Van Saar as one of their Survey teams, in the ill-fated mission that was this game:

I've also been buying various suits-with-guns miniatures to represent their various operatives.

For those who missed it, a more thorough review of another faction, the "Ventauran Empire" is here:

Looks like the first link is wrong. It's just a repeat of the battle report link that floows.
Here's the actual faction description

Van Saar minis look like they will work out well in the role you have designed for them,, nice work

Permission to 'borrow' this company?

I ordinarily just abuse Weyland-Yutani for the stereotypical evil megacorp, so having another competing firm may help…

Cool name.

Redroom,
I do hope to actually play Necromunda some day, but in the meantime, I thought I could shoehorn them in as ship's crew, in this case a survey team.

Ivan DBA,
Ever since seeing the Maersk LEGO sets, I've always wanted to do something with Maersk, I just started sticking it with other companies names until something sounded right.

Lion in the Stars,
Feel Free to borrow the company or any of our fluff you'd like. If you use it online somewhere, a little shout-out to CSW would be nice. As to the slant, I haven't yet figures out whether Maersk-Tesla is going to be a truely evil Megacorp or just have some darker sides. They feel kind optimistic to me, but they're definitely not lilly-white. I've got another article going up that explains the "debacle on Oxxidon Prime" that will show that they've gotten involved in some very unfortunate situations in the past.
