Over the next few weeks I'll be offering a series of free historical scenarios. These are all designed for use with the "Bloody Big Battles" rules (BBB), but hopefully they will be of interest even if you don't intend to play them with BBB. The first three will be for big Franco-Prussian War battles, as one-offs to add to the nine linked scenarios in the FPW campaign in the BBB rulebook. The next two will be more esoteric, from the War of the Pacific: Chile versus Peru and Bolivia (1879-1884). Among the unusual elements to be found in these scenarios: railway guns, landmines, naval gunfire support, and a genuine real-life "intercept the wagon trains" situation on an army-sized scale. I'll provide some designer's notes with each one. Watch this space! Chris PS if you can't wait, you can find them already in the files section of the BBB_wargames Yahoo group: link |
