Back in the late '80s, a friend made me an unlabelled mix tape. There was one song I especially liked, but when I moved to Las Vegas about 20 years ago I lost the tape.

I have been googling half-remembered lyrics for 15 years now, and today I finally remembered something well enough to get a hit.

It is "10 James Orr Street," by Strawberry Switchblades. I can't seem to find a link I can post from my phone. I will later, when I get to my computer.

It may not seem like much, but it was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal day.

Congratulations. I know your feelings. I have been looking for about the same amount of time for an anti-war song I listened to while serving in the Navy during Vietnam. Wish I could find it.

That's my era. Give me something. The year. Some words. Male or female singing. I would like to help.

Hlaven,

Thanks for the offer. The song was done by a male folk group. I heard it in the 1965-1968 time frame. Lyrics indluded, "when the warplanes fly" and "ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee".

Seems like it should be easy to find but I have had no luck.

It's a good album that's on, too (the Strawberry Switchblade song, that is).
