I'm dipping into Bijlandt's Brigade for Quatre Bras, and coming up with conflicting information for the flank company distinctions for the 7th Line. Some show red and green cords and plumes, others just the shoulder rolls and white cords/plumes. Does anyone know what the regulations say about these distinctions?

TIA

Ask these guys, they did the research and are a nice bunch of guys. I used to shoot them all the time when I was still a French Line reenactor living in Belgium. :-)

Ah, first photo confirms the red cords and plume. I did visit a site for the 7th re-enactors, but on a link from here

which is the site for the 8th National Militia – the 7th site via that link is active, but is different from the one you've linked to, or more likely my language ignorance is preventing me from seeing it.

Thank you very much !!

The 7th consists of two sub-units, one from Belgium and one from Holland. Both have their own site.
The flankers of the 7th had red pompons and cap lines, and in addition blue wings with white lace and piping.

Again, thank you. Just to clarify, did both flank companies have red plumes and cords? There are a number of written and online references which give red for one flank company and green for the second flank company.
