Over the last 2 months 1,800 entries have been manually transferred from the freewargamesrules website to a new website at: freewargamesrules.wikia.com This new site means that the whole wargames community can keep the project I started 17 years ago going into the future. The new site allows the whole community to contribute (like Wikipedia). Each set of rules has its own webpage and users can make comments on rules. (a long requested feature). If you don't see a free set of rules on there they can be added by the viewer. If the description is wrong or inaccurate it can be amended. If the link has changed the user can correct it. Files of PDF and ODT format can even be hosted there free of charge (up to a 10mb limit). Once a few more admin tasks are completed the old URL will also point to the new website. Pete Jones. |

Excellent job, and I rather like the new format. And my rules are still there too! |

A great project Peter. A useful resource. On a stranger note, can rules be removed from the site if they are copies (or heavily plagiarised)of commercial or non-authorised rules? I ask this because some gamers have modified our rules a bit and claimed they are "all my own work". Had to get AK47 taken of the scribd site last month. thanks martin (RFCM) |

Another thanks for your work. I have downloaded and played many of the rules on the site over the years and found them to be as good as many commercial sets. Dave Stone Mountain Miniatures |

Amazing resource, well done. There's a thread on BGG for miniature wargaming I've been adding too and discussing items, so would you appreciate me posting the wikia link above on there for all? |

Will do – here's the thread in question too, for return reference: link – hope that works. And FAO of Mr Martin Goodard: I did try to get and keep 'Square-Bashing' up on the list as I think it deserves to be there, but alas, the list author seems to have some rather strict criteria. Care to tell him more about your rules perhaps? :o) |
