"troops, were do you want me to find them, do you want me to make some?"

Our groups next year's demo game will be Ligny, 1815.

I know it's 10 months away but I'm taking stock of my French & Prussian armies, looking for gaps & shortfalls etc.

Amongst some others, it's noticeable I'm short some plain old French line. I go looking in my commodious Bits Box & unexpectedly find…….some 30 unpainted/poorly painted metal (Hinton Hunt) French line.

Painted & tricked out with Plastic command figures (which match perfectly), I'll have the 3 extra battalions I need. And nice ones at that.

The forgotten figures have been there for years, totally forgotten. The only identification in the plastic bag is a hand written note that says: "genuine Hinton Hunt NOT Clayton castings." Vintage!

That is one of the scenarios we have been building towards. I have a bunch of Prussians to paint yet. But it is nice (very nice) to need something, and suddenly find it already there!

You can if you're playing the Austrians!
