sorry, but i just dont know how to get to reply on the Saxon miniatures main post. But thakyou for your observations. Both harold godwinson and i think it is gyrth have kite shields on their backs. Byrthnoth is crouching so standing full height would be a big chap. Hadrada is one of the largest of the viking figs. they are very slightly smaller than the shieldwall figs i did.
I was amazed at how much in the way of pouches, daggers saexes etc that most re-enactment guys wore and actually trimmed them down a bit. I appreciate all the constructice critcism chaps as that ois the only way to improve the range. So i will never consider it nit picking. thanks again 1

Anyway, your point about what re-enactors wear is well made. 1000 years ago however, they didn't have car keys, inhalers, ciggies, matches, mars bars etc ….

It is an anachronism that some of the societies struggle to keep under control.
