I really like these: very "characterful"! I am assuming 28mm? I hope that you are going to do some rank and file types too. You may want to consider adding a bit more information on your website like payment options and shipping costs. Perhaps I would find that out if I started the shopping cart process but I kind of like to know that stuff up front. |

The actual sculpts (and painting ) are great. Particularly like the helmets and chain mail and good to see such animated poses. Bit confused as to the historical mix though (Alfred the Great with the Godwinsons?) Are the figures in the SaxonWarlords set available individually ? How does size of figures compare with existing ranges such as Gripping Beast, Foundry, Musketeer Miniatures etc- are they a "true 28mm" or closer to 25mm or to 30mm? |

They look very good, although I have a couple of very minor criticisms – shouldn't Hardraada & Byrthnoth be somewhat taller than the rest of the celebrities? I would also have preferred to see the Godwinsons with kite shields as opposed to round shields. I would like to see some other (female) characters such as the Lady of the Mercians, Edith Swanneck, Aud the Deep-minded, Freydis Eiriksdottir, etc However, I'll almost certainly be buying them (or persuading someone to get them for me for Xmas). |

Generally excellent figures, so starting with the Anglo-Saxons - Many of the seaxs are slung to be drawn with the shield hand, and practical experience would suggest they are drawn with the sword hand for use in a real close combat situation. The later figures could do with longer ring shirts and kite shields. There are too many pouches for my liking. Is Ethelread wearing arm guards ? The early era figures could do with shorter tunics. Sorry if that's a bit picky … but I especially like the fact that the later figures have split ting shirts for riding . |

They look amazing. I enjoy all the little details on them, including the pouches. It makes them more real and characterful, I know I carry bits and pieces around in my pockets and bags. I doubt my ancestors would have been much different in that regard. Very good work. Will likely purchase all 30 when I get paid. I think these could be perfect sets for people to play Saga with. Pretty much gives you a full warband (From what I have been told, book has been ordered) What are your plans for future releases? |

Very impressive! Some lovely sculpts there, and great painting, too. |

Very nice, how do they fit with other ranges? |

They mostly look very good although IMO some of the heads look a bit big, especially on the Vikings. I would sell them separately though, as I'm not sure how many buyers will want 15 warlords. |

Colin; this is great news,I have two of your older figures that you painted. I will definitely be buying more of your figures. Norman characters would great,if possible! |

Of course he won't be able to release a Lady Godiva, as a Belgian confectionary firm own the IP rights for her… sheesh…. Lovely figures, one question, why is Alfred un-armoured? The really funny thing is that at the beginning of the week I was wondering what had happened to Colin…. |

These are great. Perhaps it is worth forgetting the names attached for a moment and just think of them as high status Kings, Earls, thegns, Jarls and Hirdmen. It would be worth offering alternative methods of purchasing. I can't see people putting together a later Saxon/Viking force wanting Readwald, (even though its the best version of this much sculpted figure available…including GB, OG, Foundry, West Wind etc) and vice versa for the Godwinsons. What would be useful is more dark age Welsh, avoiding the hobbit trousers courtesy of GB (please someone tell me the historical origins of this, apart from illustrations of Irish warriors). A few years ago some excellent Greens were shown on TMP of Dark Age Welsh figures, which don't seem to have made it into production. Suitably attired Welsh figures could be used anywhere from 600 AD to 1050. A few varieties of helmet would be enough to cover the time gap. |

Hijacking the post a bit, (sorry Saxon Miniatures, your figures are fantastic) but the Welsh are here: TMP link |
