We are going to put on the Battle of Marengo at Fall In 2014. Since their is no adult supervision for us gamers we are going all out with a custom built board like we did for Stones River. This is part one of my documenting our build. Hope you enjoy the ride.
Home Depot supplies the foam
Lots of planing
Major features laid out
Making a mess in my basement. I have more details and pics on my blog: link We have a ton of work to do, but this time we started much earlier than we did for Stones River. Xin |

Seriously looking forward to following this project…one question: what is the "Sureform" you refer to? |

Ligniere has it right. It's like a big file, for shaving down foam. Works great to shape foam, but it makes a god-awful mess. Xin |

Wow! Looks great. I've been working on a marengo project as well. What size figures are you using? I cant see anything about that on your post. |

I've a lot of Marengo info on my blog if it will help. Plus I'm working on demi-brigade flags for the units that fought at Marengo. I'm sure I can scale them to 10mm. Here's my blog… marengo1800.blogspot.co.uk I'm looking forward to seeing how you develop your game. Colin |

Looking forward to more! Question, when you pour in the liquid water, how will you prevent it from spilling out the ends? |
Xintao | 02 Nov 2014 5:38 a.m. PST |
Shaneypops, you creat a dam.
