Talk about large-scale gaming……. Looks like SW fans with lots of dough have a new scale to play in. Comes with a standard, short, blaster pistol. There was another grey guy, that I didn't recognize, so probably an evildoer from the cartoon series. Sadly, no Rebel troopers to oppose them, so, you'll have to sculpt your own, or put a cloak and helmet on your 2 – 3 year olds to oppose them. Lots of other SW models in stock too, at Walmart as well. |

Yeah, apparently part of the launch for their Rebels CGI series on Disney XD as well as getting them out in time for Christmas/Black Friday. |

The grey fellow is the Inquisitor. Seems to be of the Sith variety. |

Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper? |

Expensive, for a squad of them, especially since there are no suitable opponents yet. However, at $30 USD for a 31" figure, they are certainly very competitively priced on an inch per dollar basis. If they had rebel troopers too, I'd try to get some local club members together for a group project. It would be a lot more affordable that way, and you could even use paintballs, or airsoft weapons for combat, instead of just rolling dice. I also saw some 18" models too: scout trooper, Chewwie, and a few of the guys from the most-recent cartoon series for sale too, for $20 USD each. Not as nice, or impressive as the larger minis, but certainly useful as well. Sadly, no sandtroopers, or rebels, either, though. Finally, I saw a few new "Black Box" Star Wars figs, which look very nice, but are $20 USD each. Super-detailed, with more of a realistic, replica finish, as opposed to the standard toy figure finish. |
