After reading the Dispatches 2 had a few questions about the Barbarossa Rules. Was tempted to divert some of my German Overlord stuff to Barbarossa (i.e. paint grey or 'Romanian' camo). Can one use H39's as well as Pz38t's in a Romanian regular or fast division? -Does Barbarossa use different Battle Counters? (I have Overlord and Fall of the Reich). Did the Romanians use the PzIVD or StugIIIb? For an Armored Car – could one use a Panhard or Sdkfz222? Did the Romanians use a German 88 or Italian 90mm AA? What Soviet tanks might one have seen in Bessarabia in 1941? Did Glantz write about operations in Bessarabia? Thanks for any help. |

From what I recall no 38t's until 1943, Sept 42 for PzIV's not sure which model(s) & no Stugs until Nov 43 So I doubt these feature in the force for the Barbarossa supplement. |

1st Royal Armoured Div was equipped with R35s and the Rumanian version of the Pz 35(t) in 1941 (the R2). Some rear security units had FT-17s. Cavalry divisions had a handful of R1s, an indigenous Rumanian light tank. The Pz 38s came later, as did Panzer IVs (F2s iirc). No, the Rumanians didn't have any 88s. |

Pz35s are kind of ugly. Much prefer the 38. So if I want pz38t for 1941 I guess will need to do the (German) 7th Pz Div? From my understanding of the (Battlegroup) dispatches, the pz38t was available to the Romanians at close to the onset (Aug,Sept 41)? |

"What Soviet tanks might one have seen in Bessarabia in 1941?" Well, the answer to that is one of the cooler Soviet improvised tank constructions, which will absolutely befuddle your Axis opponent: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NI_Tank |

Interesting. I think it could give some Japanese or Italian Armor a run for it's money. Granted ag tractor, but those tracks look French? 68 is quite a lot, 'specially if it were German -there would be 12 variant kits for sale. Would be a good VBCW model too. |
