Finally got my Dacians on the table for the first time against the dreaded Romans. How did they fare? See the whole report here. The good!
The bad!

Liked the Report – even more as the Romans lost! Trying to finish off my Dacians in 28mm, getting more falx men and some Bastarnae to round them off. |

When you finish, do post them up so we can see them! As much as I enjoyed painting Dacians in 15mm, I really want to paint them in 28mm. |

Some time ago we did play testing prior to the release of the Hail Caesar Dacian Supplement and "Cyrus" posted photos on his blog. Have added a link to some of my 28mm Dacians and also some Sarmatian cavalry (Musketeer Goths on unarmoured horses for my Pontics). Since then I have been adding to the army and will try and do some photos in due course. The falx men are Foundry and Warlord but the javelin armed warband are a mixture of whatever 'hairies' I had available – Warlord, Essex Vikings, Crusader and so on. Based originally for WRG hence the 30mm deep bases. They are now on 8 wide x 4 deep movement trays for Hail Caesar. Have ordered more falx armed Lancashire Games chaps – longest falxes I have yet seen! They paint up well. link Sorry, did not quite work as I had thought! Best to go to Dacian Wars and then the links to 2nd Battle of Tapae. |

Beating Romans is not an easy task. Well done for your success & the report. |

Great stuff, Monty. You have the good and the bad – who was the ugly? |
Marcus Aurealius | 18 Oct 2014 12:55 p.m. PST |
It appears I was the ugly, as I was the commander of the loosing Romans. |
