TMPers,

A colleague of a friend of mine has a set of the WW2 era U.S. Navy Miniatures of Royal Navy ships. The set was made by the H. A. Framburd & Co. for the USN Bureau of Aeronautics presumably to train avaitors which ships not to bomb. He wants to dispose of the set (which looks complete – 29 ships – in decent condition. The pictures I have are somewhat blurry) to a person to whom it would be meaningful addition to their collection. Any interests? A less than complete set is on eBay for over six hundred USD. If so I can put you in contact with the individual. I am not getting any cut in this deal; just trying to connect interested individuals. If not, there is always eBay.

A *complete* set? Unless someone here has a thousand dollars lying around, I'd certainly put them on E-Bay. Heck, your post inspired me to do an image search, and I found out that my set of 16 (which I played with oh-so-heavily as a kid) is worth several hundred.

Does it have the blue hinged box? That is what makes the collection (set) collectable.

Mahanman (great name, by the way . . .) The person is more interested that it goes to an appreciative member than taht he makes top dollar. It was his Dad's so some sentimental value is part of the deal.

Virtualscratchbuilder – Yes, the blue box and a sticker showing its manufacture origen/contract number/serial number are present. It is hard to tell from the photo but it looks in decent/fair condition for its age.

Midlander65 – Thanks, I'll pass those links along.
