Color me confused. Did Rebel Minis get the SST license?

No, We bought the olds molds and the rights to make things that were not Created by Sony. So you won't see the Regular bugs or normal MI or the Skinnies…

Define "Normal" MI please?

The guys from the books in heavy armor? The guys from the Roughnecks CGI series in light powersuits? Or the movie clowns?

Sony, so it must be the movie clowns.

But I like Rebel's toys

Richard Gaulding16 Oct 2014 9:04 a.m. PST

Nah, they released the movie clowns too (which I quite like, honestly): rebelminis.com/28eafoin.html

Apparently, Rebel can release some things if they make changes to the basic set, but others are a no-no, including the classic Bug. The license sounds really complicated (probably far too complicated for what the designs are worth to a big corporation, tbh).

And then Grizzlies?

Guess the no-go must be the suits from the Roughnecks CGI or maybe the bigass Marauder suits from SST3, then.

Hey, Rebel? Did you guys manage to hang onto the Cougar/Grizzly suit rights? or do I need to hit Mongoose's store for the Judge Dredd versions?

Yes, we are waiting right now for the molds to be finished for the Cougars and the Grizzlies. I have sent some to Jason for painting, so hopefully soon.
