I've got 4 of the older HG Walls Martian War Machines sold via the London War Room. The vendor has closed down. I would like to buy 4-6 more of these models to add to my War of the Worlds game. I've got about 300+ Charles Stadden British Infantry and Artillery and am also looking for a Thunderchild model or a person willing to build it for me. If you want to move one or four of these from your "gonna' do it someday" pile to generate cash , please let me know. I'm quite serious. There's also one from Monolith, resin body with metal legs and a heatray on a tentacle. They also do a crashed cylinder in resin with a working screw-sealed hatch. The tripods are squatter and wider than most of the versions -- they were apparently designed to be based on CDs in the era of everyone getting dozens of unused AOL CDs… but I put a 40mm round on each foot instead. You can pose the legs so it'll stand on two of them and be moving the other.. But they are taller than the London War Room version. I can post you a comparison if you're interested. Are the LWR figures really out of production now? No-one's picked them up?

Katie…thanks! I'll check out the monolith (monolith miniatures?) site and see how their war machines look in comparison. I like the cylinder idea too. I built a large crater/mound but never got around to scratching up the cylinder. It's a pity about the LWR/HG Walls stuff. I'd buy the molds if I could find them and have someone cast me up 12-16 of them for a mo betta' game! |

couldn't find a martian war machine from monolith. Could/would you please post a pic and a url for the correct model? Thanks! |

The plastic ones from All's Quiet On the Martian Front ones are large enough to work for 15mm or 28mm. |

More to the point, can someone point me towards a piccie of the HG Walls product? Doug Edit: Has anyone asked the fine fellows at Brigade Games? I think LWR and Parroom Station were associated, right? |

I did some pictures of the Monolith walker and cylinder at; link The comparison figure is a 28mm scavenger leader from EM-4. They're listed at; link GH25-98a and GH25-98b. (The door really does screw into the cylinder, which I think is quite a good bit of resin casting :-)

I asked Bob Charrette, of Paroom Station and he said The rights to the H.G. Walls tripods have reverted to Herb Gundt. |
