Are there any lists that allow for German assault rifle platoons with Luchs? If so in which book/ briefing? I would like to field a 4. Kavallerie Brigade force for an upcoming 1750pt tournament. |

In an idealized Reich, the late-war Sturmgeschutz brigades (actually glorified battalions) were supposed to get some Luchs for recon work (platoon or small company, I'm not sure) and a company of escort infantry. These latter were supposed to have assault rifles, but probably mostly didn't. Unfortunately, in the real world, brigades generally got either the recon Luchs or the escort company. Bob Mackenzie's Thin Grey Line says that 236th and 667th had both for a while (the tanks were later withdrawn), so there you go! |

You might look at the PDF "Panzers to the Meuse." I seem to recall seeing Luchs and assault rifles available in the Aufklarungs company. The PDF is available for free (for now) on Easy Army. Edit: Nope, I was wrong. Almost every other recon element is available, but not the Luchs. Sorry. |
