I need to paint approx. 150 18mm British Napoleonic's…Im not really going for historical accuracy other then the proper colors in the proper areas, not singling out any one company or regiment. I normally undercoat with a brown spray for anything from ACW, Moderns to Zombie Survivors. I think its much more forgiving when you look at it from arms length, then say white or even black. Brown just seems like a good color to blend everything together if you were to miss a strap or a canteen cover. But now with the Brits uniform it seems the pants were often grey in color, I can save a step by undercoating with grey primer but that only takes care of the pants, not the deep areas of the coat folds or shadow of bags and straps were brown would… So what should I do Brown or Grey? |

Go with the brown, pants get dirty on the march. |
