I bought 3 pack in the sale and was charged VAT Is this normal practice for Battle Front? It has worked out that I have saved about £3.00 GBP, and yet I dont have all my order as the Gun I ordered isnt available yet. What is really annoying is that if I had bought them in my local shop I would have probably saved money and got all the items at once. I have emailed them about VAT but not had an answer yet, So I thought I would ask here. I am in the UK BTw. |

Is it possible that your order was dispatched from a UK or European source ? No idea if that is the way they do business though. |

I bought 3 pack in the sale and was charged VAT Is this normal practice for Battle Front? As a UK resident purchasing products from a UK business, of course you will pay VAT. |

You pay VAT on almost everything you buy. It is not normally listed separately on the receipt, but you are still paying it! |

Yes I know about that. But when I checked out on the site it said total price £0.00 GBP Which I took as the total, the VaT was separate later on the card invoice email which made to total £5.00 GBP more. |

Well I suppose they should have made it clear that the "total" price was excluding VAT. It probably did somewhere in the "small print". |

Oh well never mind I suppose I got the figures I wanted at the end of the day.Not a major issue I was just wondering about it. |

Most sites selling direct to the customer (rather than trade) show prices that are VAT inclusive so it is a reasonable assumption to make. The final price should have been shown on the screen before you paid though – if it was not then I'd be surprised if it was legal. |

The Battlefront online store clearly says "United Kingdom prices include VAT where appropriate." |

If they are being even slightly vague about whether their prices include vat or not, that might be criminal offence. TS should be informed without delay. |

Its a bit confusing really but taking advantage of the sale I bought GE501 3.7cm PaK36 gun : Early War 0 1 £9.58 GBP GE752 Schutzen Platoon (early) : Early War 1 0 £14.58 GBP GE754 Machine-gun Platoon : Early War Free plus postage 2.48 plus VAT 5.31
I havnt got the Pak guns yet, I have emailed BF about the VAT but no response. Paid 31.95 I just though vAT was included in the price on the uK site. Maybe I have just got something wrong, I dont know.

Sometimes the invoice breaks down the price to show VAT but the total is no more than was listed on the site. I've had just that with a non-wargaming order. 9.58 plus VAT would give 11.50 which is the online price. Likewise 14.58 plus VAT = 17.50 – the online price. What was the sale? From what I've seen, it was buy three, get cheapest free. As you seem to have got an 8.00 Machine gun platoon free, you paid what you should have done. As a comparison, Wayland Games gives cheaper prices per pack and has a sale but thanks to the free MGs you still paid less. That was even without adding Wayland's shipping as you wouldn't be eligible for free p&p. |
