I purchased 60 unpainted 28mm AWI minis on Ebay in various animated poses. I painted one up and really liked the outcome. Does anyone recognize the manufacturer? They remind me of Elite figures but I don't think they make AWI.
Cheers Tom PS. Didn't realize the picture would come out so small. I'll try to post a larger image. |

Second thoughts, the base is not like Dixons. |

They're taller and thinner than Dixon. |

'taller and thinner' implies an older style but the pose of the figure is fairly dynamic suggesting a more modern approach. It's a mystery to me. |

Looks like Old Glory's style of sculpting. |

It does look like Old Glory style but the figure is larger than OGs. OG on the left.

2nd guess: 40mm Sash and Saber Castings. |

They measure 28mm boot heel to eye level. |

The are from the short-lived Connoisseur AWI range (though not by Gilder, clearly … the sculptor may have been …Tyson?). I think they were the first new range under Chris Gilder's ownership after the move to the US (early-mid 90s?). I think Joel of OG bought Connoisseur from CG shortly after, so may know more. There was a review of the range in one of the US mags (Historical Gamer..?) – i'll try to dig it out. Rare figures though – they weren't popular! |

I have a few Connoisseur figures and those redcoats have that look. |

Thank you for that info unfashionabledc. I'll look for Connoisser in my searches and hopefully I'll find a few here and there. Cheers, Tom |
