According to Osprey's "The Black Brunswickers" Siborne states that during the afternoon or evening of Waterloo the 2ND battalion, 2nd British Foot Guards left Hougoumont chateau and their place was taken by Brunswick troops. Also that around 8 PM Brunswick troops skirmished in Hougoumont woods. Units involved were the Leid Guard, 1st Light Battalion and Avant-garde. |

The Nassau Jäger company was around Papelotte/Smohain with onloy some 18 men. The rest was marched to Brussels on 17 June, as they lacked ammunition. |
